Karin Hoepker is currently Guest Professor of American Literature at the John-F.-Kennedy Institute, Freie Universität Berlin (Lehrstuhl ehem. Ulla Haselstein). Her work focuses on literary knowledge production and the function of fiction across media. She is specifically interested in the intersections of literature and the sciences, in aesthetics and practices of spatial production, ecocriticism, and in the emerging semantics of risk in the nineteenth century.
